Therapy takes courage! Asking for help is a sign of strength; a strength you may not think you have! Often, we are encouraged to hide our insecurities, doubts, fears, pains and vulnerabilities and put on a mask. It is difficult to acknowledge that we are uneasy, struggling, or suffering.
Many people put off therapy because they are afraid of being judged, labeled or stigmatized. I believe a successful therapy environment establishes a place of safety, acceptance, unconditional positive regard, acknowledgement of strengths, and a collaborative relationship.
I practice from an eclectic perspective, with a belief that therapy is as individual as you are. I approach each meeting from that framework. Working together, we will explore ways that will help you make changes that last!
You have the courage to begin therapy! You are ready to improve your coping skills, stop hiding your suffering behind a mask, identify your hidden strengths, or decrease your stress and frustration, I am ready and willing to be part or your support system. I offer evening and Saturday appointments.
